Driver’s Ed Course / Curso de manejo para menores

El curso completo tiene un costo de $850.00.

Para realizar la inscripción se requiere un depósito equivalente al 50 % del valor total del curso. El saldo restante deberá pagarse de acuerdo con las condiciones establecidas por Sonia’s Driving School.

El curso incluye:

• 30 horas de clases presenciales en el aula.
• 12 horas de práctica de manejo (Behind-the-Wheel Instruction).
• 6 horas de observación.
• 2 horas de clase presencial para el padre, madre o tutor legal.

Requisitos de asistencia

Tanto el estudiante como el padre, madre o tutor legal deben completar las clases presenciales correspondientes. El estudiante deberá completar las 30 horas de clases en el aula, y el padre, madre o tutor legal deberá completar la clase obligatoria de 2 horas para padres. Si el estudiante pierde alguna de las clases requeridas, deberá recuperarla cuando la escuela vuelva a ofrecer el curso.

Los certificados correspondientes únicamente podrán ser procesados una vez que tanto el estudiante como el padre, madre o tutor legal hayan completado todos los requisitos exigidos.

Fechas, horarios y recuperación de clases

Tanto el estudiante como el padre, madre o tutor legal son responsables de mantenerse informados sobre las fechas y horarios de sus clases. Si no recuerdan una fecha u horario, o tienen alguna duda sobre el calendario del curso, deberán comunicarse con la oficina de Sonia’s Driving School para confirmar la información.

Si el estudiante pierde alguna clase o si el padre, madre o tutor legal no asiste a la clase obligatoria de 2 horas para padres, deberán comunicarse con la escuela para consultar cuándo comenzará el próximo curso y poder completar el requisito pendiente.

Es responsabilidad del estudiante y de su padre, madre o tutor legal comunicarse con la escuela y mantenerse informados sobre las fechas del próximo curso. Sonia’s Driving School no es responsable de contactar individualmente a estudiantes o padres para recordarles cuándo se ofrecerá nuevamente una clase perdida.

Learner’s Permit

Al momento de inscribirse, recomendamos que el estudiante se presente acompañado de un padre, madre o tutor legal y traiga su Learner’s Permit, si ya lo tiene. La escuela puede aceptar la inscripción aunque el estudiante todavía no tenga su permiso. Sin embargo, para poder programar las clases prácticas de manejo, el estudiante deberá contar con un Learner’s Permit válido de Massachusetts.

The total cost of the Driver’s Ed Course is $850.00.

A deposit equal to 50% of the total course price is required at the time of registration. The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment terms established by Sonia’s Driving School.

The course includes:

• 30 hours of in-person classroom instruction.
• 12 hours of Behind-the-Wheel Instruction.
• 6 hours of observation.
• 2 hours of in-person Parent Class for a parent or legal guardian.

Attendance Requirements

Both the student and the parent or legal guardian must complete their required in-person classes. The student must complete all 30 hours of classroom instruction, and the parent or legal guardian must complete the required 2-hour Parent Class. If a student misses a required class, the class must be made up when the school offers the course again.

Certificates can only be processed after both the student and the parent or legal guardian have completed all required course requirements.

Class Dates, Schedules and Make-Up Classes

Both the student and the parent or legal guardian are responsible for keeping track of their required class dates and times. If they do not remember a date or time, or have any questions about the course schedule, they must contact Sonia’s Driving School to confirm the information.

If the student misses a required class, or if the parent or legal guardian misses the required 2-hour Parent Class, they must contact the school to find out when the next course will be offered so they can complete the missed requirement.

It is the responsibility of the student and the parent or legal guardian to contact the school and stay informed about upcoming course dates. Sonia’s Driving School is not responsible for individually contacting students or parents to remind them when a missed class will be offered again.

Learner’s Permit

When registering, we recommend that the student come to the school with a parent or legal guardian and bring their Learner’s Permit, if they already have one. The school can accept the student’s registration even if they do not yet have a permit. However, a valid Massachusetts Learner’s Permit is required before Behind-the-Wheel Instruction can be scheduled.
